Sarah has worked in the care sector for many years and has an extensive knowledge of not only a very diverse cross section of clients and their needs, but also an in-depth insight into the many employee roles in the sector having held most of them herself at some point. Sarah has been a care assistant, support worker, senior support worker, team leader, cook, deputy manager, manager, domiciliary manager and an area manager over the last 25 years within several different areas including learning disabilities, mental health and challenging behaviour, those with a forensic history, brain injury and dementia.
She has been managing services for people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour for the last 10 years and has managed both residential and supported living services.
Sarah’s role within the Accedo Group is to manage all operation aspects of the organisation, directly over the running of the units and to take the lead on safeguarding and compliance.
On a personal note, Sarah is a keen experimental cook, a baker of novelty and luxury cakes, plays the saxophone and clarinet and is also learning the violin. Sarah is also a published songwriter and has a bald, epileptic dog called Moe who accompanies her on her travels to the units on occasion.
Welcome to the team Sarah!
