Our Mission and Values statement was created in consultation with our teams and people we support. At the end of the year, we hold an awards ceremony where the best examples of meeting our Mission and Values are celebrated.
Our locations are all staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. All are well-connected to local transport links, leisure facilities, parks and open spaces, shops, and places of worship. Several of our locations have shared indoor and outdoor spaces that can be used by all. All have parking available either onsite or nearby, and are supported by an on-call maintenance support line.
We believe activity is the key to independence. We provide support with daily life activities such as personal hygiene, cooking, housework, dealing with correspondence and finances, shopping, travelling, keeping safe and getting a good night’s sleep!
We know that physical health is fundamental to our wellbeing and activity. We provide support with attending appointments, putting guidance and advice into practice, health monitoring, exercise and fitness and, where needed, support with moving and positioning.
We place a high value on friendship, social activity and fun! We provide support with relationships, meeting new people, going out, and enjoying life. We regularly hold group events and activities to support this. In recent years we have hosted visiting zoos, held Christmas parties, held photography and art competitions, hosted online quizzes, hosted a Winter Ball and Summer Games and lots more.
We produce an in-house monthly newsletter together with lots of articles and pictures. This helps everyone to keep in touch, to share their passions, and to gather our tips, advice and information.
